In four sessions and in an open format for all participants in the event, Melco will discuss the impact of emerging technologies; Virtual reality and Smart Home in the channel, as well as on the opportunities generated by the gaming and its ecosystem.
Melco, the Consumer Electronics and Small Appliances Business Club, which will take place in Zaragoza on June 6 and 7, will feature the participation of 70 brands and nearly 200 professionals from the retail channel.
AUDE BUSINESS EVENTS, the organizer company of Melco Business Club, in collaboration with the consulting GfK, incorporates into its conference program a topical theme such as gaming and its particular ecosystem.
From the hand of Elena Toribio and Mario Poveda, Business Managers of GfK and under the title “Gaming: from the niche to the Mainstream” will present in Melco the latest data of evolution of sales of products of this attractive category of products.
The Gaming ecosystem is creating significant growth opportunities in the IT market. This progression is not only due to peripherals but also to categories that until now had not been so associated with the world of the game. GfK will show how the Gaming segment of PCs is adding value to a product where price erosion seemed unstoppable, as monitors with minimal response times become increasingly important or as dedicated components increase their turnover year after year.
GfK will also unveil who it is and where it buys the “gamer”, will provide a forecast for 2017 and offer a global vision of families that emerge in the market in the hand of this type of entertainment, such as Virtual Reality in its different formats.
The conference, that will take place on Tuesday 6th June from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Wednesday 7th from 11:45 p.m. to 12:30 p.m, will be held in an open format for all attendees of the event, facilitating the presence of both retailers that participate in the contest as the exhibiting companies.
On the other hand, CONTEXT will present in Melco the conference “Emerging Technologies – Virtual Reality and Smart Home – Reality or a dream?”, By Elena Montañés Castillo – Country Manager Spain & Portugal.
CONTEXT will analyze the current state of the ICT distribution channel in the digital age, focusing on emerging technologies such as Smart Home or Virtual Reality. The conference will provide details of the evolution of consumer opinion on these new technologies, showing the results of the third Smart Home survey and will contrast these opinions with the actual market data from the CONTEXT distribution panel. Are we talking about a dream or is the dream becoming a reality?
The conference will take place on Tuesday 6th June from 11:45 to 12:30 and Wednesday 7th from 16:30 p.m. to 17:15 p.m, also in an open area.
